A solid tripod. Super light but very strong. Good quality. Would highly recommend for mountain hunters.
As the title states, I ran over this tripod with a 5,000 pound SUV. I had it set up with a spotting scope next to the quarter panel while loading gear in the dark on the third day of this years rifle elk hunt. When I backed out, I knocked the tripod over then proceeded to run it over with the front tire. When the headlights hit the mushed pile of mud with a spotting scope on the end, I was devastated. This tripod, DZ head, and spotting scope were big investments for me that I had saved up for a long time to purchase. I sadly got out of the vehicle, walked over and picked up my sticks from the mud, accepting the fact I can't have anything nice for more than 30 days. To my absolute amazement, there was nothing wrong with the tripod or head. I had ran over the legs while fully extended and they didn't have any cracks in them, the joints where the sections connect function just as they had before, and the only thing I was out was a few paper towels for wiping things off.
