Great little pan head

This is my new favorite pan head. I use it with binos, haven’t tried with a spotting scope yet. Very light, smooth and stable.

Handle 1 in. to short

Great head just needs the thin part of the handle to be 1in-1 3/16in longer. Then the tripod head could be placed in the straight up and down position for packing with optic attached when moving between glassing spots. The way it is the fat part of the handle hits the head base. Which can only get you to about 50 degrees not 90 degrees up and down. Would have had five stars otherwise. If you ever make a handle slightly longer, please let me know. That would be a huge improvement.

Tricer LP is Good but the NS2 Bino Adapter Ring SUCKS!

The Tricer LP seems to be a good panhead from what I have tested so far, but the NS Bino Adapter does not work well with binoculars that do not have straight (or a straight flat section), but rather angled barrels (Leupold Santiam 10x50). The NS works as a clamp, but once tightened, half of the circular clamp does not make contact with the angled bino barrel, leaving it semi tight/loose and moveable. Would be better if the adapter ring clamps were also made/offered with an angle to tighten on both sides of the ring clamp for angled bino barrels. Look for another option if your binos don't have a straight barrel. Also, and unfortunately, the Tricer front 1/4" mount bino adapter also not work (not compatible) with this particular pair of binoculars.
