Its smooth. It locks in, no creep like with the LP, especially with a bigger spotting scope. Looking forward to using come hunting season
Bought this tripod for photography while hiking. Added an Arca-Swiss quick release camera ball head. The combination is strong and super lightweight. The leg design is so much better than traditional photographic tripods.
I also own the larger Tricer AD Carbon Tripod.
Does not work on savage axis II pro. The swivel is too deep for the pin to reach. Otherwise a great product and seemed very stout.
