I had the previous version and the new one makes some great improvements. Its ability to pack down even smaller is the biggest/best of the improvements. I like the fact you don't have to invert the legs anymore as well. Esthetics have improved with the branded Tricer rubberized grips to adjust the legs. Overall definitely an improvement from the previous model
I just got the AD tripod and this thing is everything they promised. Super light weight, super easy to use, locks I. And out in hardly half a turn, making for super fast set up and adjustment. I am very happy with this tripod.
