Is a really nice piece of kit until it isn't. When it showed up it was nice and smooth, worked great with near zero backlash. Slowly started developing quite a bit of play in the adjusting mechanism and after a few months of regular use there was so much play it was unuseable. Customer service was great and it was replaced under warranty. Have high hopes for this one.
I got a full Tricer kit as my entry into tripods, accessories, glassing, etc. I got the DZ since it is advertised as a do it all head, and in my experience, it doesn’t do any of it exceedingly well. The ball head is hard to adjust to a standard level position for glassing and the fluid head feels like it’s restricting firearm movement at times. Also, the ball head has been severely affected by the dust that is rampant where I hunt in west Texas and has become much less buttery smooth than when new. 3/5 decent quality and seems pretty light I like the tripod a lot but customer service was difficult and I don’t know how long this DZ will stay on my tripod given the dust issue. I am disappointed but I might try another product line to see if that gets closer to what I have in mind.
Very well built and had a lot of thought going into it. We are planning on going up north and test shooting it on Ranges from 200 yards to 500 yards after that we can give a update on the Tricer RP.
