This bipod is nice and light weight. The cant locks up tight and holds good. I have only used it a couple of times but I’ve noticed the legs are easy to accidentally loosen. And that the lever to tighten the cant screw hits against some of the rifles that I’ve put it on.
Hits all my wants for a hunting bipod. It’s light, sturdy, can shoot prone on flat ground but they’re also long enough to shoot sitting or kneeling in tall bush. The extra set of short legs are great for the bench. IMO the only improvement needed is an upgrade to leg locks that extend and collapse the legs. Please take a look at how slik tripods implement there’s on their high end tripods. They’re much more user friendly. One click and they’re loose and another to tighten. No confusion with which direction to turn the threads.
Well I’ve had some range time with the Tricer-RP. I’ve shot it out to 700 with very good results. Here are some thoughts:
Weight is incredible for a bipod with this much stability.
I can adjust leg height one handed while in position, a huge plus for hunting.
Range and type of adjustment are great. The long legs worked from the bench, prone and sitting.
Changing legs is involved, requiring an Allen wrench and involving two set screws per leg.
The feet are interchangeable and this is actually a bit of a problem. On recoil the foot of the left hand
Leg loosens under recoil. I actually had to go searching in the grass for it. I’m going to solve this with a dab of removable loctite, but it’s something to be aware of.
