After some pretty extensive use in the field I can confidently say I recommend this bipod. That being said, there are two things I dislike about. First off (and I've seen other comments about this) the twist lock on the legs is counter intuitive. I've never owned other brands that twist opposite (though that's what I've read ) but I've tightened many a bolt and like to believe that righty is tighty and lefty is loosey. This bipod is opposite. After several days of use I was still not used to it. Secondly (and this is with the locking model) the swivel and pan lock is very necessary. I would have returned it immediately if it did not have it. However, and this is a small note, hitting the legs on brush and objects throughout the hike will back out the locking screw a little. I had to keep tightening it back down. Small thing but It's for an honest review.
TLDR: great bipod. extension locks are backwards and pan/tilt screw backs out if legs are jostled about.

This was my first tripod, I am very impressed with the quality and ease of use. Super light and very smooth. I am very satisfied with this tripod, and it has met all of my expectations
