Played with the bipod mounted on an AR, very happy with everything on that end. Legs lock in well, extended is way too tall for me to shoot sitting(I'm 6ft 3in, never thought I would find that). The lever for the tilt locks in well and overall it seems very steady.
That being said, the pic rail to sling stud adapter is garbage. The hole in the adapter is way too low so that the only way to get it tight to the stock is the stud needs to be counter sunk. I attempted to do that myself and long story short, I messed up my plastic stock. Once I actually got everything mounted, I found that the pic rail flexed too much and I was very concerned with it breaking or snapping under field conditions. I had picked up a Caldwell pic adapter when I got the parts to fix my stock and that is rock solid.
Overall, I am very excited to give this bipod a go this weekend on some late season whitetail does and later on this month going after some coyotes. The short legs it comes with will be great shooting at the range and the long legs give me the flexibility to shoot anywhere I need in the field.
Very light weight, adjustable, and user friendly in a hurry . Paired with the dz head I can scope or shoot .
