I am a longtime user of Tricer products. My primary spotting scope & digiscoping tripod is a BC with an LP Head for the backcountry. I bought this SP Hybrid Ball Head for an upcoming Kodiak Deer Hunt to do double duty as a spotting scope & shooting seated tripod rig. It is mounted on a Revic Hunter Tripod that is beefy enough to handle rifle weight. I have not used this rig in the field, but have taken photos enclosed with review, and tested in house for function as I have only owned head about 15 days. Some of my rifles have arca rail midsection of rifle, all have a picatinny/arca rail from another manufacturer on the forend. I was unsure if this head would handle arca on forened. As picture shows it can and it will pair well using Wiser Quick Stick with trekking poles to shoot as a rear support in lieu of a pack if desired. My initial assessment is that this head will be in my arsenal for many years, and perform well for backcountry hunting where weight and function are required. My practical experience is Western Hunting in WY, Elk, Deer, Sheep, and Antelope and review is based on initial impressions that this is a well made tripod head.
