A very well engineered tripod that is solid. Highly recommend if you are looking for an “all in” setup.
Design wise, there's a lot to like. The ball clamp can be manipulated quickly with the support hand for panning or transitions. I also like the three position locking mechanism on the legs -- takes the guess work out of moving between prone, seated and standing shooting positions. I'm 6'1" and have a few inches to spare on the legs to get a good sight picture standing.
The controls within the AK head could be improved, but they get the job done. I'd rather see a clamp/cam for the pic rail lock - similar to the Arca clamp - versus the dial nob which takes longer to really seat it tightly. The Arca tension screw is nice to have and I dialed that up when using the GC clamp to remove as much slop as I could.
Overall, very happy with my purchase and my BOG buddies seemed to like it too. Will probably give Tricer's bipod a shot in the future.
